In my last semester at the University of Oklahoma, my senior project was to create a campaign for the Oklahoma City Thunder. In the client brief, the Thunder stated their struggle with attracting a younger audience, particularly Generation Z and Millennials. My team and I were given a $1.9 million budget. We conducted secondary research over the NBA and the Oklahoma City Thunder, and came up with a target audience. We then conducted primary research and analyzed that data to inform our Goals and Objectives. Our Creative Brief supported all of our ideas, and was developed across our Creative Activation and Media Plan.
At the end of the semester, all 4 teams presented our campaigns to the Director of Brand Influence and Identity and the Manager of Fan Development for the Thunder. My teams was selected as the winning team.
GOAL: Establish the Oklahoma City Thunder as the cornerstone of entertainment in the Oklahoma City Area
