Experiential Activation

Based on our preliminary research and more research into our target audience, my group and I came up with these assets of experiential advertising. These methods were chosen to reach our target audience in areas the Oklahoma City Thunder should be more present in. Not shown below is a statue light display suggestion and murals for outdoor advertising that would be completed by local Oklahoma artists.

The Thunder Thriller Blueberry Basil sour ale would be a product of the partnership between Prairie Brewery and the Thunder. By crafting this beverage with a local brewery, the Oklahoma City Thunder would be able to tie themselves with a staple local business. This beverage could be sold all across Oklahoma which will intertwine the team with Oklahoma culture, and reach the younger audience that the Thunder wants to attract.

I created the entirety of this design in Illustrator, then placed it in the can mockup to demonstrate how it would look. I also took this design to a printer so stickers could be made for the deliverables.

Prairie Brewery

By partnering with local beer garden Social Capital, the Oklahoma City Thunder is offering a limited edition team pint glass. Not only would this memorabilia be exclusive but could also help create a sense of cohesion around the Paycom center. Rather than the stadium, Scissortail park, and restaurants like Social Capital just being in the same area, supporting partnerships like this would meld everything into one Thunder experience that would carry a synergy throughout the entire night.

This mockup product was created by me in Photoshop. I also created a vector file of the design so that the glasses could be made as product samples for the Thunder.

Social Capital

The thrill of dating meets the thrill of the Thunder! From our research, we found that our target audience is incredibly active on dating sites, especially Hinge, ushering for a unique partnership.

If two users meet the criteria of residing in the Oklahoma City area, share an interest in basketball, and have begun chatting, they could have an opportunity to have an all-expensed date to an Oklahoma City Thunder game. Not only would this allow the chance for possible earned media (social media posts and stories) but also a chance to form a positive relationship with the team.

The concept for this idea was created by my teammate and I, and then built out the interaction.
